London ON is a pretty easy location to ship hard wood steps.
 We
use Apex Motor Express and they have been very reliable in
transporting our custom wood steps to London, Kitchener or
the Greater Cambridge Area.
We like the fact that we can to put all your hardwood steps
in one package with the finished edges facing each other and
protected on the inside. We have tried UPS and a number of
other small package couriers but due to weight withstrictions
per package a complete set of steps must be broken up into
3 separate containers and this leaves a lot of edges exposed....
AND doesn't save you the customer any money to boot!
Therefore with Apex, you have basically two options:
- We can first make a nice tight clean package of your wood
treads. London Apex depot is at 563 Commercial Cres, in
London, Ontario. They can be held there for you to pick
up. (1-519-453-8250) (see map below). Easy enough to break
the bands and then load into an SUV.
Pricing: $75.00 plus taxes for
up to 500lbs
(this is equavalent to more than 40 custom oak wood stairs.
London homes usually don't use quite that many steps

- We can still use Apex to get your wood treads to London,
but they can then transfer your stair treads to an "in-town"
courier that will deliver to your house. They will phone
ahead to find an appropriate time.
