Shipping Custom Wood Steps: Toronto, Ontario
Shipping an order of hardwood steps to Toronto is relatively
easy.
 We
use Apex Motor Express and they have proven to be very reliable
in transporting our custom wood steps to Toronto, Brampton
or the Greater Toronto District.
We like the ability to put all your steps in one package
with the vital edges protected on the inside. We have tried
UPS and a number of other smaller package couriers but due
to weight withstrictions per package a complete set of steps
must be broken up into 3 separate boxes and leaves a lot of
edges exposed.... AND doesn't save you the customer any money
to boot!
Therefore with Apex, you have basically two options:
- Depot Delivery: We can
first make a nice tight clean package of your wood treads.
Toronto Apex depot is at 60 Ward Rd , in Brampton and they
can be held there for you to pick up. (1-905-789-5001) (see
map below, don't go by the old address on Wilson Ave. on
mapquest). Easy enough to break the bands and then load
into an SUV.
Pricing: $75.00 plus taxes for
up to 500lbs
(this is equivalent to more than 40 custom oak wood stairs.
Toronto homes usually don't use quite that many steps 
- Direct to Home: We can
still use Apex to get your wood treads to Toronto, but they
can then transfer your treads to an "in-town"
courier that will deliver to your house. They will phone
ahead to find an appropriate time.
Pricing: $105.00 plus taxes for up to
500 lbs

Toronto client was an avid DIY'er. They stripping the carpet
off of the old set of curved steps, then worked on refacing
stairs with solid oak planks that we made from a paper template
shipped to us in the mail.
